Recording Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander status
All Practices are encouraged to record patients who self-identify as Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander to help ensure that correct health programs are undertaken including childhood immunisations, influenza vaccinations, Pneumovax 23 vaccinations, EPC Health Assessments, ATSI adult and child health checks.
The patient's record should note if the patients have identified themselves as being of Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander descent.
