GPA Surveyors
Accreditation is a peer review process. GPA Surveyors are experienced General Practitioners,
Practice Nurses, Support and/or Divisional staff.
All GPA Surveyors undertake an initial training program and receive ongoing audit for quality assurance

Under JAS-ANZ Procedure 16 (see below) Surveyors are required to:
- Be actively participating in the general practice industry
- Have a minimum of 4 years experience in general practice including 2 years recent experience
- Be vocationally registered (for GP Surveyors)
JAS-ANZ Procedure 16:
General requirements for bodies operating assessment and accreditation of General Practices for recognition
under the Practice Incentives Program (PIP).
